The House and the Rooms

Where you will sleep

At Via Nicolao Dorati 67, Lucca, in the Sant'Anna quarter: about 500 metres from Porta Sant'Anna (Piazzale Verdi) and the city walls, just outside the historic centre. A few minutes' walk and you are inside the old town.
Four, each inspired by an opera by Giacomo Puccini: Bohème and Turandot (20 m², double bed and sofa bed, up to three guests), Madama Butterfly (20 m², double bed and a balcony facing the bell tower of Sant'Anna) and Tosca (12 m², small double bed, overlooking the inner courtyard). Yes: every room has its own private bathroom with shower, bidet, hairdryer and toiletries. In the room you also have independent air conditioning, a smart TV, a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and free WiFi.
Bohème and Turandot sleep up to three, with a double bed and a sofa bed. For little ones, a cot is available on request.
Breakfast is enjoyed at a partner pastry shop a few steps from the house, a little Lucca ritual our guests love. There is also a shared kitchen in the house.
Yes, parking is free: on site on request and in the next street. You can leave the car and walk comfortably to the historic centre.
Yes, complimentary WiFi is available throughout the property.
Yes: a garden with fir trees, a small balcony overlooking the trees, a shared lounge and a shared kitchen. We tell you about them on the page The Courtyard.
The whole property is non-smoking, and parties or events are not allowed, out of respect for the quiet of the house and the other guests.
Arriving

The road to Lucca

We are about 500 metres from Porta Sant'Anna and a 5-minute walk from the city walls. Lucca railway station is 1.6 km away, Pisa airport about 22 km.
No. The house is outside the city walls and therefore outside the limited traffic zone: you can drive here without a permit and park for free. The historic centre, which is a ZTL, is an easy walk away.
The station is about 1.6 km away: around twenty minutes on foot, or a few minutes by taxi.
From Pisa airport it is about half an hour by car; by train you change at Pisa Centrale and take the regional train to Lucca. From Florence it is about an hour by car, and there are direct regional trains from Firenze Santa Maria Novella.
Check-in is possible 24 hours a day: we just ask you to let us know your arrival time in advance. Check-out is by 10:30.

Before you set off

Rates start from €110 per room per night and vary with the season and the number of guests: you see the exact price when you choose your dates on this website.
When you book here you deal directly with Bianca, with no intermediaries, and you can ask us anything before and during your stay.
Cancellation terms depend on the rate you choose when booking: they are always shown before you confirm.
Children of all ages are welcome. A cot (0–3 years) is available on request for €20 a night. Extra beds are not available; guests aged 16 and over count as adults.
Pets are welcome on request. A small supplement may apply: write to us before booking and we'll find the right solution together.
We speak Italian, English, Spanish and French.

What awaits you

The city walls are 5 minutes away; San Michele in Foro, San Martino Cathedral, Puccini's birthplace, Piazza dell'Anfiteatro and the Guinigi Tower are all between 1.2 and 1.7 km away, a 15–20 minute walk. Our tips are on the page Discover Lucca.
Torre del Lago, home of the Puccini Festival every summer, is about 25 km away: half an hour by car. Staying in Lucca, the Maestro's birthplace, is the loveliest way to combine the two.
Yes: we are outside the city walls, away from the traffic, yet a few minutes on foot from the centre. During big events such as Lucca Comics & Games and the Lucca Summer Festival rooms sell out fast, so it is worth booking early.
